Working shot

I started out drawing warehouse floor plans, and I have been circling the same problem ever since.

Work that is already happening, badly served by the software around it. That means I spend more time in operations rooms and clinic corridors than in Figma. The interfaces I am proudest of look unremarkable: the difficult decisions were made upstream, in how the work was modelled, and the screen was allowed to stay quiet.

I work best embedded in one team for a long stretch, close to engineering, with a research habit that does not need a separate budget line. Before design I trained as an industrial engineer, which is mostly a story about queues.
